Install the steam head 12 inches above the shower floor and at least 6 inches from all corners. Do not install it beneath seating or benches; avoid placing it near the controller. The outlet must be sealed to prevent vapor intrusion into the shower walls.

For the steam shower enclosure, use non-porous, moisture-resistant materials like porcelain or ceramic tile, tempered glass, and sealed grout. While natural stone is an option, it must be sealed regularly. Choose rust-resistant fixtures, and for seating, use treated, moisture-safe woods like teak.
