ThermaSol Celebrates 65 Years of Shower, Steam and Sauna Innovation with Round Rock, TX Event

October 27, 2023 | News

ThermaSol®, the leader in smart shower, steam and sauna technology since 1958 celebrated their 65th anniversary last week with an event at their headquarters and factory in Round Rock, TX. Founded by David Altman, the origin of ThermaSol’s first steam generator began when Altman designed, built and installed the first electric steam shower for a Park Avenue luxury apartment. This innovation earned the company its first of many patents for a combination steam and shower product, marking the inception of a storied history spanning several decades of groundbreaking advancements.

The fun-filled celebration on October 19 began with a champagne welcome and delightful meet and greet with ThermaSol’s 65th Anniversary Design Contest winners. Guests were then welcomed with food trucks, music and factory tours of ThermaSol’s facility. The highlight of the day was a speech delivered by Mitch Altman, CEO of ThermaSol, and Patrick Weidl, director of business development, sharing wonderful memories and recognizing ThermaSol’s achievements over the last 65 years. Adding a personal touch to the event, raffle prizes were presented to winners by two generations of the Altman family – Mitch and Murray Altman.

“David Altman’s vision continues today as ThermaSol leads the industry with breakthrough innovations and customer satisfaction,” states Mitch Altman, CEO of ThermaSol. “We are focused on building upon his dream; however, dreams only come true with the daily hard work of our team members and our valued dealers and distributors. I am so proud of our 65-year history, our three generations of a family-run business and our team members who have become family. Thank you for all your efforts these past 65 years. We will continue to make ThermaSol a rewarding place to work as well as a valued partner for another 65!”

In attendance were not only the dedicated employees of ThermaSol but also their families and members of the local Round Rock community. As part of the celebration, ThermaSol recognized and congratulated the winners of their 65th Anniversary Design Contest: Alison Cottet of House of Cottet, Roy Heskel of Deluxe Vanity & Kitchen, and Nadja Pentic of Knocknock Kitchen and Bath Design. ThermaSol extends its gratitude to both the contestants and judges, Sara Malek Barney, Josh Cooperman and Kymberly B. Glazer, for their valuable contributions to this milestone event.
