There’s a choice of over 70 campsites to enjoy, including primitive camping sites if you really want to get off the grid.

Big Bend National Park, Texas
A place to raft, canoe, kayak and backback along the Rio Grande with multiple landscapes – camp under the stars in the desert, beside the mountains or along the river, Big Bend National Park offers a variety of outdoor activities. Visit the nearby Hot Springs Historic District for history about the town founded in the early 1900s and soak in the nearby mineral-rich hot spring.

Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico
Rangers at Carlsbad Caverns National Park host full moon walks to teach about local lore, astronomy and the many nocturnal animals in the cavernous area – there’s even a Bat Flight Program for wildlife lovers.

Pacific Coast

Olympic National Park, Washington
Located on the Olympic Peninsula, the national park’s stunning landscape spans over 70 miles of wild coastline which includes rainforests and glacier-capped mountains.

Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, California
Take a scenic drive along Highway 101 to get to Big Sur State Park, where ocean cliffs are surrounded by huge redwoods. You can take advantage of plenty of hiking trails and world-class surfing.
